Sun Drop Cake
Ingredients:
2 sticks of butter
1/2 cup of Crisco
3 cups of sugar
5 eggs, added one at a time
3 cups of all-purpose flour
6 ounces of Sun Drop citrus soda (or Mountain Dew)
1 teaspoon lemon flavoring
1 teaspoon vanilla flavoring
Icing:
2 tablespoons of butter
2 cups of confectioners sugar
2 ounces of Sun Drop (or Mountain Dew)
Directions:
Cream butter and Crisco together and add sugar as you are mixing. Add eggs one at time. Add flour and Sun Drop, alternating between the two. Add lemon and vanilla flavoring. Mix well. Bake in a greased and floured 10-cup Bundt pan at 325 degrees for 1 hour and 15 minutes.
For icing, beat butter until melted, then mix in confectioners sugar along with Sun Drop. Put on cake while cake is hot.
