Fettuccine Alfredo
1 stick of butter
2 1/2 cups of heavy cream
3 cloves of garlic
1 1/2 cup of Parmesan cheese
1 pound fettuccine pasta, cooked
1/2 teaspoon pepper
salt to taste
dash of nutmeg
green onions to garnish
sautéed mushrooms (optional)
Directions:
Melt the butter in a skillet and lightly sauté the garlic. Add the cream and bring to a simmer. Add the cheese & allow to melt. Meanwhile, add the salt & pepper & nutmeg (add in the sautéed mushrooms now if you choose). Toss in the cooked pasta. Garnish with green onions.
